Job Summary
Conduct maintenance checks and repairs for lift trucks and carousels at customer sites, ensuring overall operational integrity and condition of internal combustion or diesel trucks. Diagnose and adjust mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical parts, then communicate and execute next steps for repair solutions. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, order parts according to technical manuals, and document and analyze breakdowns based on standard procedures. Serve as the front-line contact between the company and the customer, requiring comfort with client interaction alongside technical expertise. Work in inclement weather with exposure to severe conditions, utilizing hand tools, measuring devices, and diagnostic equipment to maintain industrial mechanical service equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician or equivalent related experience
- Must have a Truck and Coach 310T Certification or Heavy Duty Technician Certification
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems of battery and engine powered material handling equipment
- Knowledge of the use of hand tools and measuring devices
- Knowledge of the use of electrical/electronic diagnostic tools/measurements
- Experience with industrial equipment that involves lifting / rigging, maintaining, dismantling, and installing machinery and industrial mechanical service equipment
- Able to interpret and implement technical procedures
- Solid knowledge of general Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
- Possess a valid driver's license
- High School
- Post secondary education
Desired Qualifications
- Experience aligning above equipment, using dial indicators/calipers, micrometers, hoists or jacks is a plus
- Lift Capacity Inspection Technician Certification an asset
- Automotive Technician Certification or Designation preferred
- 2 Years - Related Experience
