Road Service Mechanic

Job Summary
Perform diagnostics and repairs on semi-trucks and trailers at customer locations or on the roadside; use electronic diagnostic tools, computer software repair, manuals, and experience to identify and repair issues; operate and maintain a fully equipped service truck with tools and parts inventory; remain on call 24/7 to perform job functions; maintain accurate service records of repairs and hours; use tools such as common hand and power tools, hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and welders; safely operate vehicles of various sizes in the loading, hauling, and unloading of various equipment.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of truck and diesel engine experience
- Graduate of a mechanical trade school or vocational school preferred
- Advanced knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment
- Skilled in the operation of power tools and machinery
- Safety certifications preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to work individually
