Job Summary
Conduct on-road evaluations, surveillance, and field observations to monitor and assess driver performance. Investigate bus accidents, incidents, and complaints by preparing detailed reports with findings and recommendations. Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Training to enforce road safety policies, correct unsafe behaviors, and support compliance with safety standards. Deliver and support safety training programs and refresher courses for bus operators. Analyze safety data and trends to identify hazards and recommend improvements to safety protocols and operational practices. Assist in developing and maintaining SOPs in alignment with agency goals and regulatory standards. Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal transportation safety regulations through documentation, reporting, and ongoing oversight. Participate in safety meetings, initiatives, and internal committees to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- knowledge of a vocational, administrative, or technical field typically obtained through six months to one year of advanced study or training beyond high school, or an equivalent combination of education and training
- A minimum of three to five years of related experience
- supervisory experience involving employee performance, work objectives, and performance evaluations
