Job Summary

Road Operations Specialist and Senior Road Operations Specialist responsible for contributing to road construction and maintenance to uphold safety and quality of county roads. Duties include pothole repair, crack sealing, sign and sidewalk maintenance, storm drain and culvert cleaning, and flagging. Senior role uses heavy equipment (loader, backhoe, grader, dozer, street sweepers, large trucks) to haul equipment, plow snow, grade gravel roads, install chip seal, and perform overlay with a paver. CDL training is provided with the goal of obtaining a Class A license within six months; four 10-hour days schedule and generous benefits including 401K match and URS. Opportunities for growth and increased pay exist with PTO and paid holidays; paid CDL and heavy equipment training available.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to obtain Class A Commercial Driver's License within six months
  • Experience operating heavy equipment preferred but not required
