Job Summary
Road Mechanic to repair and maintain diesel and gasoline heavy equipment and trucks in the Lehigh Valley area. Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions, identifying parts for repairs or replacement, dismantling/reassembling equipment, performing engine overhauls, testing to verify repairs meet manufacturer specs, and ensuring safety compliance. Requires a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience), CDL B, clean driving record, ability to use hand tools and PPE, and physical ability to handle up to 75 pounds. Work hours routinely exceed 40 per week with a company-paid benefits package including health benefits and potential tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent (as applicable) OR relevant experience and/or training
- CDL B
- Clean driving record
- Customer Service and Teamwork
- General computer knowledge and CAT software (ET&SIS)
- Ability to use mechanics hand tools, torch, and welder
- Ability to fit test and utilize PPE
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant)
- OSHA/DoT compliance awareness
- Experience with diesel/gas engines and diagnostic methods
- Ability to read and interpret job orders and equipment condition
