Job Summary
Mow, clear bushes and trees, and shovel gravel for road maintenance across County rights-of-way. Operate heavy equipment, set up traffic signage, and repair road signs while flagging vehicles during repairs. Transport materials and attend department meetings as assigned. Work Monday/Thursday from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM with holidays off, subject to emergency extensions. Requires a valid Arkansas driver's license and completion of a pre-employment physical and drug screen. This safety-sensitive role offers opportunities for promotion within the Road Department.
Required Qualifications
- High school or GED
- Specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area
- 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training
- Valid Arkansas Driver's License
- Ability to obtain a valid Arkansas Driver's License immediately
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness
- Ability to work in a safe manner
- Ability to lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
