Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients in the outpatient surgery setting while maintaining professional accountability. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality of information are maintained. Requires active RN licensure, minimum one year perioperative experience, and BLS/ACLS certification within the first year. Involves pushing, pulling, and lifting 50 lbs regularly, with prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active RN licensure in the state of practice
- Minimum of 1 year perioperative nursing experience
- BLS/ACLS certification
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- CNOR certification
- RN-First Assistant certification class
