Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients in outpatient surgery, maintaining professional accountability and evaluating the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality of information are upheld. Perform duties consistent with mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards, requiring active RN licensure, minimum one year perioperative experience, and BLS/ACLS certification within the first year. This role supports the collaborative team where your voice matters, helping shape the future of healthcare through innovation, technology, and compassion.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active RN licensure in the state of practice
- Minimum of 1 year perioperative nursing experience
- BLS/ACLS certification within first year
- Continued competence in assisting and in perioperative nursing
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- CNOR certification
- RN-First Assistant certification class
