Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for assigned patients in outpatient surgery. Coordinate patient care with other departments while evaluating the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are maintained. Requires active RN licensure, minimum one year perioperative experience, and BLS/ACLS certification within the first year. Physical demands include lifting 50 lbs, prolonged standing, and repetitive bending or kneeling.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active RN licensure in the state of practice
- Minimum of 1 year perioperative nursing experience
- BLS/ACLS certification
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- CNOR certification
- RN-First Assistant certification class
