Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for assigned patients in the outpatient surgery setting. Coordinate patient care with other departments while evaluating the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are maintained. Requires active RN licensure, minimum one year perioperative experience, and BLS/ACLS certification within the first year. Must be able to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs regularly, with prolonged standing and walking during shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active RN licensure in the state of practice
- Minimum of 1 year perioperative nursing experience
- BLS/ACLS certification within first year
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Ability to stand and walk during each shift
Desired Qualifications
- CNOR certification
- RN-First Assistant certification class
