Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients in outpatient surgery while maintaining professional accountability. Coordinate patient care with other departments and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality of patient information are maintained consistent with Mercy Service Standards. This role requires active RN licensure, a minimum of one year perioperative nursing experience, and BLS/ACLS certifications within the first year. Candidates must demonstrate continued competence in assisting and possess the physical ability to push, pull, lift 50 lbs, and perform prolonged standing, walking, and bending. CNOR or RN-First Assistant certification is preferred. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active RN licensure in the state of practice
- Minimum of 1 year perioperative nursing experience
- BLS/ACLS certification
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- CNOR certification
- RN-First Assistant certification class
