Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care in the outpatient surgery setting while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate patient care with other departments and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality of patient information are upheld in all interactions. This role requires a minimum of one year of perioperative nursing experience, active RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS certification within the first year. Candidates must demonstrate continued competence in assisting and possess the physical ability to push, pull, lift 50 lbs, and perform prolonged standing and walking. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active RN licensure in the state of practice
- Minimum of 1 year perioperative nursing experience
- BLS/ACLS certification within first year
- Continued competence in assisting and in perioperative nursing
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- CNOR certification
- RN-First Assistant certification class
