Job Summary
Perform service requests per work orders and make regular inspections of grounds, building, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment. Assist with apartment turnover procedures, maintain inventory of tools and supplies, and execute grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, fertilization, and watering as requested. Complete other projects assigned by the supervisor while adhering to the designated dress code. Maintain critical relationships with staff, residents, and vendors. This role requires experience in heating, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in general maintenance to include heating, air conditioning, electrical and plumbing equipment, and carpentry
- High School diploma or its equivalent
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Must be able to lift and carry fifty (50) lbs
- Must be able to pass a criminal history investigation
- Current driver's license issued by state of residence
- Current Vehicle Inspection Decal
- Current Louisiana vehicle insurance
- Current vehicle registration in state of residence
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be capable of using extension ladder to access roof, windows, and siding to make repairs as needed
- May be required to live on site
