Job Summary

Delivers safe, effective, and independent nursing care using the nursing process, performing thorough patient assessments and developing individualized care plans based on patient input. Documents care accurately in electronic records, identifies learning needs, and recognizes cultural differences to personalize treatment. Functions within a developing leadership role, delegating appropriately and assisting in orienting staff and students when assigned. Works effectively with the interdisciplinary team, advocates for patients and families, and identifies policy revision needs based on evidence-based research. Collects and analyzes data to improve patient care and meets organizational standards through active participation in quality improvement surveys. Requires a BSN or ADN with recent experience, valid Georgia RN license, and BLS certification for this 12-hour evening shift role.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years
  • Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience within the past five years
  • Valid, unencumbered Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing
  • BLS certification
  • Active compact/multistate license (eNLC) within 60 days of hire
  • Completion of an accredited WOC Nursing Education program
  • Certification in Wound Care and Ostomy Care within 12 months of entering the role
  • Ability to lift 36-75 lbs
  • Ability to carry objects up to 35 lbs
  • Occasional to frequent standing & walking
  • Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)
  • Travel may be required
  • Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators

Desired Qualifications

  • Recent completion of a re-entry nursing program
  • ACLS certification
  • Additional certifications based on department and specialty
  • One week's advance notice
