Job Summary

Delivers safe, effective, and independent nursing care using the nursing process, performing thorough patient assessments and developing individualized care plans based on patient and family input. Documents care accurately in electronic records, identifies learning needs, and recognizes cultural differences to personalize treatment. Functions within an interdisciplinary team, delegates appropriately, and assumes Charge Nurse responsibilities when assigned while assisting in orienting staff and students. Identifies policy revision needs based on evidence-based research, collects and analyzes data to improve patient care, and maintains required points and contact hours per the clinical lattice PLAN system. Works 12-hour day shifts from 7a-7p with a 0.9 FTE schedule and on-call rotation.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years
  • Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience within the past five years
  • Valid, unencumbered Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing
  • BLS certification
  • Active compact/multistate license (eNLC) within 60 days of hire (if completing virtual care activities that may include multi-state practice)
  • Completion of an accredited WOC Nursing Education program (if hired into a Wound Care Dept.)
  • Certification in Wound Care and Ostomy Care within 12 months of entering the role (if hired into a Wound Care Dept.)
  • Ability to lift 36-75 lbs (occasionally)
  • Ability to lift 20-35 lbs (34-66% of the workday)
  • Ability to lift 10-20 lbs (67-100% of the workday)
  • Ability to carry objects up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk occasionally to frequently
  • Ability to sit occasionally
  • Ability to perform close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)
  • One week's advance notice is preferred

Desired Qualifications

  • Recent completion of a re-entry nursing program (alternative to BSN with 12 months experience)
  • ACLS certification (may be required for certain departments, post hire)
  • Additional certifications based on department and specialty
