Job Summary
RN Wound Nurse responsible for establishing a Wound Care program, policy and procedure development for wound care management, and leading staff training on wound care and infection control. Performs weekly wound care rounds, ensures strict standards of care and infection control, directs clinical staff in wound assessment and documentation, provides wound care training to new hires and ongoing in-services, reports data to the DON, conducts surveillance using CDC infection criteria and investigates infections, and serves as a resource on infection control practices for patients, families, and staff. Also involved in other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
- RN License in the State of Pennsylvania
- Wound Care Certification required
