Job Summary
Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for patients requiring wound and ostomy management. Assess and monitor complex wounds, including surgical openings, ulcers, pressure injuries, feeding tube sites, and abscesses. Develop and implement treatment plans while identifying signs of infection. Clean wounds safely and effectively to promote optimal healing. Educate clinical staff on proper wound care practices. Requires current RN license, WCC or WOCN certification, and ability to lift 50 pounds with prolonged standing. Full-time day shift at Mercy STL Wound.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the hiring state and/or compact state licensure
- WCC (Wound Care Certified) or WOCN (Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse) certification
- Ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to grip
- Ability to reach
- Ability to bend
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to twist
- Ability to squat
