Job Summary
Assess, monitor, and document wounds, pressure injuries, and skin conditions while developing individualized treatment plans with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. Perform wound treatments per orders and evidence-based practices, monitoring residents for condition changes and communicating updates to providers and leadership. Educate nursing staff on wound prevention, skin integrity, and infection prevention, and participate in care plan meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and survey preparedness. Maintain accurate clinical documentation per facility policies and state/federal regulations. Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure outstanding clinical outcomes. This role offers a $12,000 sign-on bonus for full-time hires at The Greens at Spruce Pine, a Certified Great Place to Work Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Spruce Pine, NC.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) License
Desired Qualifications
- Wound Care experience preferred
- Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing experience strongly preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Knowledge of wound care best practices, infection prevention, and skin integrity management
- Compassionate, dependable, and committed to delivering exceptional resident care
