Job Summary
Assess, monitor, and document wounds, pressure injuries, and skin conditions while developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. Perform wound treatments according to physician orders and evidence-based practices, monitoring residents for condition changes and communicating updates promptly. Educate and mentor nursing staff on wound prevention, skin integrity, and infection prevention, while participating in care plan meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and survey preparedness. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and state and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Knowledge of wound care best practices, infection prevention, and skin integrity management
- Compassionate, dependable, and committed to delivering exceptional resident care
Desired Qualifications
- Wound Care experience preferred
- Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing experience strongly preferred
