Job Summary
Assess wounds and skin integrity, develop individualized care plans, and perform dressing changes according to physician orders. Monitor healing progress, educate patients and caregivers on wound management and infection prevention, and collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve optimal outcomes. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate significant patient changes to the Director of Nursing. Requires current Texas RN license, BLS/CPR certification, and one year of home health or wound care experience. Flexible scheduling with day, evening, and weekend opportunities available.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS/CPR Certification (in-person certification required)
- Negative TB skin test or chest X-ray within the past year
- Current and valid Texas Driver's License
- Current automobile insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull throughout the workday
- Ability to safely assist patients as needed during care visits
- Ability to independently lift up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year of documented nursing experience in a home health agency, primary care clinic, wound care clinic, hospital, or healthcare facility preferred
- Strong wound assessment and treatment skills
- Knowledge of evidence-based wound care practices and skin integrity management
- Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills
