RN Wound Care Nurse

RN with wound care expertise responsible for wound prevention, assessment, and treatment across acute and chronic wounds, pressure injuries, surgical wounds, skin tears, and complex skin conditions. Conduct weekly wound rounds, document treatments and outcomes, and educate nursing staff, residents, and families on wound prevention and skin integrity. Collaborate with physicians, nursing, therapy, dietary and other team members to optimize healing, ensure infection prevention practices, and maintain compliance with state, federal, facility, and regulatory standards. Participate in QAPI initiatives and ongoing quality improvement. Requires current, unrestricted Virginia RN license and active wound care certification (WCC, CWCN, CWON, WOCN, or equivalent); prior wound care experience preferred in skilled nursing or long-term care settings.
