RN Workers Comp Coordinator

Coordinate care for Workers' Compensation patients and serve as a liaison between healthcare personnel, nurse case managers, rehabilitation professionals, claims adjusters, attorneys, and patients. Screen telephone calls for new appointments, gather demographic data, obtain prior medical records, and verify insurance coverage. Obtain approval or authorization for additional testing and surgical procedures by working with nurse case managers and insurance claims adjusters. Facilitate collection of pertinent patient medical records, including x-ray and MRI CD's, and prepare a tracking system for outstanding charges. Communicate with nurse case managers, insurance claims adjusters, and human resource personnel to ensure all information for Workers' Compensation patients is received timely.
