Job Summary
Conduct individualized nursing care for residents using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary colleagues to coordinate care, manage preventative health, and address diagnoses and treatments. Perform resident education and various nursing interventions while maintaining competency within the full scope of practice. May serve as charge nurse, delegating appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel. Ensure safe administration of care and resolve service concerns in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
