Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, coordinate resident assessment, and implement treatments for health maintenance and diagnosis. Collaborate with interdisciplinary providers, families, and other staff to plan and evaluate care while demonstrating competency within the full scope of nursing practice. Serve as charge nurse to delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel, ensuring safe administration of care and resolution of service concerns. Practice within the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards while caring for residents in all phases of preventative care.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for holiday shifts
- Must be available for evening shifts
- Must be available for shifts between 6pm and 6am
- Must pass a drug screen
- Must pass a pre-employment background screening
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing
