Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care for residents, managing assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, providers, families, and residents to coordinate care and implement interventions across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, and treatment. Serve as charge nurse to delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within their scope of competence. Maintain competency in age and population-specific standards while adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association Code of Ethics. Work evening shifts from 2pm to 10:30pm, 32 hours weekly, including every other weekend and holidays, with incentives for weekend and late-night hours.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for holiday shifts
- Must be available for evening shifts
- Must be available for shifts between 6pm and 6am
- Must pass a drug screen
- Must pass a pre-employment background screening
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing
