Job Summary
Conduct individualized nursing care for residents using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, providers, families, and residents to plan and coordinate care across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Serve as charge nurse when assigned, delegating appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within the full scope of nursing expertise. Provide resident education and ensure safe administration of care while adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards. Work evening shifts from 2pm to 10:30pm, 32 hours per week, including every other weekend and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
