Job Summary
RN-Women's Services provides patient care and coordination for women, newborns, and families in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing health data to develop individualized plans of care, coordinating care delivery to promote family-centered care, employing health teaching strategies, evaluating outcomes, making ethical decisions, and acting as a mentor and consultant to care teams. The role emphasizes evidence-based nursing practice, cultural diversity, and collaboration with women, families, and other healthcare professionals. Requires RN licensure (state-specific or compact) and BLS HCP; may involve night shift and part-time (PRN) scheduling across applicable states. The position supports ongoing nursing practice improvement and safe, environmentally responsible care for women and newborns.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- State RN licensure (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin or compact license) or applicable multi-state license
- Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) - American Heart Association or equivalent such as NRP/PALS/NRP Essentials - American Academy of Pediatrics or other accrediting bodies
