Job Summary
Manages women’s services activities, workflow and nursing resources for the women and newborn care unit. Provides care within a family- and newborn-centered framework, coordinating interprofessional care, delivering health teaching, and applying evidence-based nursing practice to optimize outcomes for women, newborns, and families. Includes duties such as data collection to develop individualized care plans, ensuring safe environment and ethical decision-making, collaborating with patients, families, healthcare providers, and the community, mentoring other professionals, and contributing to quality improvement projects. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and an active RN license in the applicable state; night shift and part-time status observed.
Required Qualifications
- State RN license (IL, MO, OK, WI as applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS HCP)
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or PALS or equivalent neonatal/pediatric support credentials
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- Ability to work night shift
- Active RN in MO/IL/OK/WI as applicable
- Experience in women's services preferred
- Strong assessment and care coordination skills
- Evidence-based practice knowledge
