Job Summary
Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Labor and Delivery unit, conducting thorough assessments, administering medications, and monitoring fetal well-being. Assist physicians during procedures, manage labor and delivery, and provide education on prenatal, postpartum, and newborn care. Respond to medical emergencies, implement infection control protocols, and participate in performance improvement initiatives. Requires 0-2 years of clinical experience, RN licensure, BCLS, and ACLS. Located in Carlsbad, New Mexico, with a sign-on bonus up to $30,000 and student loan repayment available.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting
- Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively
- Proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care
- Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
