Job Summary
Deliver direct and indirect patient-centered nursing care for medical, surgical, intensive care, postpartum, and newborn nursery patients across inpatient and outpatient units. Manage patient care using the nursing process while collaborating with team members, healthcare providers, families, and crisis intervention personnel. Communicate effectively with all involved parties and teach patients and families across all age levels. Maintain competency through formal orientation and department-specific certifications including ACLS, PALS, and TNCC. Operate under the supervision of a nurse manager or administrative supervisor with a part-time schedule of 24 weekly hours.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Trauma Training Equivalent
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
