Job Summary
Deliver direct and indirect patient-centered nursing care for medical, surgical, intensive care, and postpartum units across pediatric to elderly populations. Manage patient care through the nursing process while collaborating with healthcare providers, families, EMS, and crisis intervention team members. Provide teaching to all age levels and communicate effectively with visitors and other departments. Maintain competency-based performance following formal orientation and uphold accountability for assigned patients under nurse manager supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Trauma Training Equivalent
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
