Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Women and Infants Obstetrics ED, utilizing the nursing process and a multidisciplinary team approach. Prioritize patient wellness and evidence-based practice while modeling proficiency through precepting new staff. Manage care across Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery, and NICU units, adhering to AWHONN and AACN standards. Transfer NRP and ACLS certifications within six months of hire. This onsite night shift role requires 6 months of Women and Infants nursing experience and current BLS certification. Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Relevant certification as determined at position level
- NRP and ACLS 6 months from hire and transfer
- 6 months of Women and Infants nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
