Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) providing individualized nursing care to residents in long-term care settings. Completes the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation), collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement and evaluate care, and may serve as charge nurse. Requires RN licensure in the practicing state; Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred. Responsibilities include care coordination, resident assessment, education, and various nursing interventions across the life span. Attributes sought include experience in dementia care/long-term care and a compassionate commitment to senior care. The role offers full-time day shift with benefits, shift differentials, and opportunities for advancement and continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state(s) of practice
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
- Graduate from an accredited school or college of nursing
- Pre-licensure nursing program with supervised clinical experience across the life span or minimum 400 hours RN/LPN experience at another facility
- Ability to practice within the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice
- Ability to obtain licensure in patients' states when practice extends over telephone
- Possible specialty certification may be required
