Job Summary
Provide high-quality, patient-centered care as an RN in the Emergency Room on weekend mid shifts; assess patient pain and promote effective pain management with reassessments, perform procedures and document care in the medical record, respond promptly to patient requests, educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up measures; translate complex medical information for understanding; collaborate with medical providers and care team to support organizational goals and patient outcomes; follow established nursing models (Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage) and advocate for patients/families/caregivers.
Required Qualifications
- (RN) Registered Nurse
- Registered Nurse Diploma
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course, or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses, or Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
