RN Weekends 3A Trauma RN Full Time Nights

Job Summary
Provide patient care for adult post-operative and trauma patients on the 33-bed Surgical Trauma "3A" unit, performing head-to-toe assessments, reading telemetry strips, IV insertions, and managing catheters, trachs, ostomies, wounds, and chest tubes. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while coordinating care across departments and ensuring patient confidentiality. Work 7p-7a weekend shifts with a 5:1 day and 6:1 night patient ratio, utilizing the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework. Requires current RN licensure, BLS certification, and ability to lift 50 pounds with prolonged standing.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- 1-2 years' RN experience
- 3-4 years' RN experience
- 5+ years' RN experience
- Work every weekend once off orientation
