RN/Weekender (5029)

Provide professional nursing care to patients within the trauma ICU unit on weekend shifts, employing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. Perform nursing interventions according to physician orders, standards, and policies; initiate assessments based on patient problems and needs; collect information from patients, families, labs, and other reports; ensure necessary consents are obtained; determine nursing diagnoses and priorities with emphasis on patient teaching, discharge planning, and development needs; document assessments and care; participate in CPR/BLS as required; teach patients and families; maintain accurate records and collaborate with hospital staff to ensure safe, compliant care; supervise LPN and other support personnel; contribute to staff orientation and training; support performance improvement initiatives and maintain a safe environment in accordance with iRESPECT standards.
