Job Summary
Surgical 3B RN position in Springfield, IL, full-time nights, 3 out of 4 weekends. Provides patient care using the nursing process, coordinates care with other departments, maintains patient rights and confidentiality, and supports a fast-paced 3B surgical telemetry unit focused on GI, Urology, and ENT surgeries. Unit details: 32 beds, nurse-to-patient ratio 1-6 on days and nights, with emphasis on head-to-toe assessments, telemetry monitoring, NG tubes, IV insertions, CBI’s, chest tubes, trach/ostomy care, drains, and wound care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) or completion within 30 days of hire
- Physical ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing/walking, ability to reach/bend/kneel/twist/squat
