Job Summary
Conduct trauma-level emergency care for critical patients across Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, utilizing the nursing process to evaluate effectiveness and coordinate care with board-certified emergency medicine physicians. Manage assignments in a Level 1 Trauma and Stroke center featuring 70 exam/treatment areas and a dedicated pediatric emergency department. Maintain professional accountability for patient rights and confidentiality while adhering to Mercy Service Standards. Shifts run 11a to 11p, 1p to 1a, or 3p to 3a with flexible start times and differentials. Requires current RN licensure, hospital-based experience, and certifications including ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a State approved School of Nursing
- Current RN licensure with the Missouri State Board of Nursing or current RN Missouri temporary work permit
- Hospital-based experience
- ETC and Acute Care Center RN's must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period
- ETC RN's must have a current ACLS card or complete a course within 6 months of their hire date
- ETC RN's must have current PALS or ENPC, and TNCC cards or complete courses within one year of hire date
