Job Summary
Provide nursing coverage to patients and families via phone and in-person visits, including admission to hospice services as needed. Serve as first responder for symptom-based calls after normal office hours, assessing physical and mental health, and reporting results. Plan, initiate, and evaluate appropriate nursing acts while collaborating with providers to determine patient-centered care plans. Teach, assign, delegate, or supervise other personnel in implementing treatment regimens and administer pharmaceutical regimens prescribed by authorized personnel. Assist with emergency admissions and provide counseling on patient health. Work Friday through Sunday from 8 AM to 8 PM with a $3/hour weekend premium, reporting to the Clinical Team Leader. Maintain safe and effective nursing care standards while complying with company policies, infection control methods, and ongoing education requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NC RN license
- Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance
- Two years of clinical experience preferred
- Must be willing and able to care for patients with infectious disease processes unless approved accommodations
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulations and Medicare Conditions of Participation
- Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and regulations
- Knowledge of electronic medical records systems
- Demonstrate basic data entry skills
- Demonstrate excellent organization skills
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to take initiative and utilize innovative techniques and ingenuity
- Ability to interact with various departments throughout the organization

- Ability to plan, prioritize and coordinate multiple projects

- Demonstrate understanding of reimbursement, regulatory requirements, and Medicare Conditions of Participation
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. often
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday 8AM to 8PM shifts
- Must be able to work flexible hours, if needed

- Must be able to supervise, teach, and evaluate those who perform or are preparing to perform nursing functions and administering nursing programs and nursing services
