Job Summary
Plan, develop, organize, and direct nursing services for the assigned floor, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Review staff complaints and grievances, making necessary reports to the Director of Nursing. Maintain adequate stock of medications, medical supplies, and equipment to meet resident needs, and make nursing and aide assignments as indicated. Assist in developing comprehensive assessments of resident nursing needs and encourage staff participation in outside training programs. This Registered Nurse Supervisor role supports the Director of Nursing in coordinating day-to-day functions of the nursing department.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing direct patient care in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility
- At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience with direct care staff
- Strong leadership, communication, and clinical judgment skills
- Florida AHCA Clearinghouse background screening
- A nursing degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing direct care in long-term care, restorative or geriatric settings
- Minimum one (1) year of experience as a nursing supervisor, preferably in a nursing home setting
- Current CPR Certification
- No disciplinary action in effect against professional license
