Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Evaluation Unit Weekend Program, provide direct patient care to cardiac patients on the 5100 unit, including management of post–Cath Lab patients (TAVR/PCI) and post-device patients (pacemakers, AICDs), administration and monitoring of cardiac drips for arrhythmias and CHF, and collaboration with the Cath Lab team. The role emphasizes building a strong cardiac nursing foundation, coordinating individualized care plans, proficient EHR documentation, and contributing to a fast-paced telemetry environment with opportunities for career progression within cardiac services. Weekend program hours include 7am Friday to 7am Tuesday for a 26-week minimum commitment, with full-time status and eligibility for shift differential and overtime pay.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing
- RN License in New York State
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
