Job Summary
Registered Nurse Weekend (RN) for part-time schedule providing total nursing care for residents in a long-term care/skilled nursing setting. Plans, coordinates, and supervises nursing care, directs and evaluates healthcare staff (LPNs, LVNs, CNAs), administers medications, starts IVs, and ensures documentation complies with physician orders and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include developing individualized care plans, coordinating with therapy and other departments, participating in orientation and training, conducting staff conferences, and supporting residents and their families with effective communication. Requires graduation from an accredited RN school, a valid RN license in the state of employment, CPR certification, and preferred one year of nursing experience. Skills emphasize leadership, teamwork, rapid emergency decision-making, training of clinical staff, and maintaining confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of accredited RN School of Nursing
- Licenses/Certification: Valid RN license in the state employed
- Licenses/Certification: Valid CPR certification
- Experience: One year of nursing experience preferred
