Job Summary
RN Weekend position at Mercy South. Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process to provide patient care, maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients, coordinates patient care with other departments, and upholds patient rights and confidentiality. Requires RN licensure in the hiring state/compact, graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN), and BLS with possible additional certifications (ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM) as required by unit. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs and extended periods of standing/walking. Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
- One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM
- Other: Physical Requirements: ability to push/pull/ lift 50 lbs, standing/walking, flexibility for bending/kneeling/twisting/squatting
