Job Summary
Provide patient care for the medical cardiac population in the 4C unit, managing chronic and acute onset diseases including heart failure, respiratory distress, and unmanageable dysrhythmias. Coordinate telemetry and cardiac management for patients with multisystem needs such as pneumonia, sepsis, and COPD. Manage patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. Work a day shift from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with eligibility for weekend, shift, and option day differentials. Requires a current RN license, BLS certification, and the ability to lift 50 pounds and stand or walk for prolonged periods.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- 1-2 years' RN experience
- 3-4 years' RN experience
- 5+ years' RN experience
