Job Summary
Provide patient care for the assigned medical cardiac population using the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework. Manage chronic and acute onset diseases including heart failure, respiratory distress, and unmanageable dysrhythmias while balancing telemetry and cardiac management needs. Coordinate patient care for those requiring cath lab, angio, dialysis, and anti-coagulation therapies. Maintain professional accountability, patient rights, and confidentiality. Work day shift hours from 7a-7p.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- 1-2 years' RN experience
- 3-4 years' RN experience
- 5+ years' RN experience
