Job Summary
Provide patient care utilizing the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process, maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care with other departments while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Obtain and maintain current RN licensure within the hiring state or compact region. This full-time, non-exempt weekend role requires a BSN, diploma, or associate degree, along with BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Additional certifications such as ACLS, NRP, or TNCC may be required based on unit assignment. The position involves prolonged standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
