Job Summary
Provide on-call and routine end-of-life hospice services under the direction of the RN Case Manager to ensure nursing needs are met based on patient assessments. Deliver comprehensive skilled nursing care in the home setting to maximize patient comfort while adhering to established standards and the agency's hospice philosophy. This role may carry supervisory responsibilities and requires operating a motorized vehicle with valid auto insurance for travel within a 1.5-hour service area. On-call hours may include nights, holidays, and weekends with flexible scheduling. Candidates must hold a current Arizona RN license, one year of varied clinical experience, and complete all required continuing education and mandatory reporting activities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited RN program
- Current Arizona RN license or Multistate
- Current CPR Certification
- One year varied clinical nursing experience
- Hospice Philosophy of care
- Working knowledge of current hospice guidelines
- Patient's Rights
- Understanding of pathology, disease processes, pain, and symptom management
- Knowledge and support of agency's safety and OSHA policies
- Understanding of HIPAA Privacy Standards and related agency policies
- Demonstrated understanding and compliance with agency policies, including but not limited to documentation, continuing education, work schedules and required HR documents, State and Federal policies and procedures, laws and regulations
- Customer service principles
- Ability to operate a motorized vehicle and is auto insurable with minimum coverage as follows: $100,000 bodily injury per person, $300,000 bodily injury per accident and $50,000 property damage
- Reliable transportation for work in the community and surrounding areas
- Ability to travel with-in the agency's service area of 1.5 hours distance to/from the home office
- Follow all State of Arizona laws for Mandatory Reporting
- Adhere to Hospice of Havasu's Standards of Behavior
