Job Summary
Provide daily patient care and coordinate nursing activities for a unit, including prioritizing care, assigning tasks, and creating treatment plans with the clinical staff. Assess and document patients’ physical and psychosocial status from admission to discharge; supervise support staff and communicate with the Charge Nurse Supervisor. Administer medications and treatments per hospital policies, develop and implement nursing care plans, complete nursing documentation and transfer forms, educate patients and families about medications and procedures, respond to emergencies and agitated patients, and provide orientation and support to the unit staff.
