Job Summary
Monitor patient conditions, interpret symptoms, and collaborate with physicians to devise individualized care plans. Perform routine procedures, administer medications, and provide instant emergency medical care while assisting surgeons during operations. Inspect facilities, maintain hygiene and safety through decontamination and sanitization, and supervise nursing assistants. Foster a supportive environment for patients and families while expanding knowledge through educational workshops. Requires unrestricted RN license, BLS, and ACLS certification for night shift coverage from 7pm-7am or 7am-7pm. IHS serves Native American Tribes and Alaska Native people across multiple service units including Crow Agency and Fort Peck.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a registered nurse
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of emergency care
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination, etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible and compassionate
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
- Valid nursing license
- Unrestricted RN license in any state
- BLS
- ACLS
- Night Shift
- 7pm-7am or 7am-7pm

Desired Qualifications
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification from the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA)
