Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments from admission to discharge, independently administer medications, and develop individualized care plans for NICU patients. Prioritize patient problems based on assessment data and implement nursing interventions to meet family-centered health needs. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to evaluate care outcomes, revise plans, and advocate for patient rights while preparing families for discharge. Orient new team members and supervise students as needed. Requires current KY RN licensure, BLS, and PALS certification, with a preference for two years of hospital experience. Shift runs 7a-7p.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
- Current KY RN licensure or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky
- Basic Life Saving (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Two years of hospital patient care experience
- Successful completion of the Nurse Residency program
